Of course. That’s where the Calm Belt is.
Sounds like a very niche requirement. They are not big, but definitely bigger than others. You have to sacrifice some size if you’re not glueing everything together like other brands do.
I guess it depends what you mean by high quality. It’s good quality for sure.
This is why my next pair of earbuds will be from FairPhone. But surprisingly my current ones have lasted me years already without the batteries suffering too much.
Actually I wasn’t sure. Hard to tell on the Internet. Some people really forget others exist who live in different circunstances than themselves.
I assume you can guess that my winter is likely colder than yours then.
I think the next level of after heat pumps is complete heat management. Waste heat from kitchen exhaust? Heat pump. Hot water down the drain? Heat pump.
Fridges are some of the most efficient appliances in the home but I always think it’s funny that in the winter we keep the house warm and the fridge cold, when we could just harness the cold from outside.
And modern fridges use very little energy, because they only run when needed. Technology connections did a few videos on that subject.
My family does secret santa, so I buy 1 gift per year.
Thank you for doing the math! I think this was the video of the fella doing his water tank battery: https://youtu.be/CMR9z9Xr8GM?si=go28fQ6DYXyW1GTi
Pumped hydro is great for taking advantage of the geography but it’s thousands of times less energy dense. There was this guy that made a pumped hydro water tank on his roof and by his calculations a cubic meter of water was equivalent to a AA battery. A professional damm might be a bit more efficient though.
I’m looking forward to see more heat based storage, like molten salt, heated sand, or pumped geothermal.
Thank you for sharing. This was interesting.
Berlin had a long history of squatter communities. This reminded me of them. The last squatters were finally evicted some time in the last couple years after constant wars with the authorities. My understanding was that what they were doing was not illegal, because if you live somewhere long enough, you can’t be evicted in Germany. But naturally these once decrepit neighbourhoods are now the trendiest and their abandoned buildings were sitting on now extremely valuable land. So they’ll find ways to make it illegal. You’re violent to the police, you’re doing drugs, etc.
I bet went these anchor-outs started living here, there were no people living in mansions on those hills. But they moved-in and found themselves entitled to a shore free of freeloaders. There are fewer and fewer places for a free person to stay.
Are essential items on sale? I didn’t look around much but most things truly on sale are garbage electronics.
Recycled paper is way less brown than poop, in don’t know what you’re talking about…
Anyway, I use a bidet 9/10 times and a towel. No toilet paper needed.
