Yeah. I don’t know if it’s completely ceased, but in my part of the world, it is no longer something that scars the environment.

Engineered wood products have replaced steel girders in a small number of highrise/skyscraper buildings. It’s a huge, huge carbon win, not even considering the sequestration in the frame.

Wood is enjoying a resurgence of development as a building material. Perhaps it can be treated such that it becomes stable on the order of thousands of years instead of just hundreds, and replace a great deal of highly emitting materials like steel and concrete.

Burning trees planted two years ago doesn’t actually release any carbon that wasn’t already in the atmosphere two years ago.

My life got so much better when I stopped buying shampoo and conditioner. All my scalp problems and dry, straw-like hair went away. I couldn’t dry comb my hair for the first thirty-some years of my life. Now I can comb my hair any time I want!! It’s cheaper, more convenient, and works better.

FYI lanolin (or “sheep grease”) is an animal product that is obtained through violence, cruelty, and at industrial scale, atrocity. This may not concern you, but just in case it does.
