I wish it explained what a diatom was
You can just go to the designs and enter measurements manually
It was considered best practice to never install anything
In what universe? You might as well never turn on your computer.
The people below are not getting shaded by or seeing the vegetation tho? If you need shade you can just use the canvas without the plant life and all the other stuff needed to sustain it up there. Actually if this system is intended for narrow streets like this it seems completely unnecessary as the buildings already shade the street. Otherwise if you want plant shade use trees or malleable plants like wines instead of inventing ways to put plants in places they aren’t meant to be.
This website is quite bs imo. In their footprint test even if you only eat local and vegan, never interact with a vehicle and live in a well insulated fully renewable house that generates almost no trash, it still says you’d need 0.7 earths to survive (overshoot day next year may). So if you aren’t the model citizen in any of those aspects you will have an overshoot day within one year.
They justify this by saying everyone pays for public and government actions, which is quite bizarre since it doesn’t even ask where you live. The way it adds up land usage and carbon footprint to get the final number seems really arbitrary too.
