The only place hydrogen fuel makes sense is where it needs as little transportation as possible. Industrial use or as a replacement for fossil fuel for trains and ships that can fill up at their destination (where it needs to be produced n the premises).

There’s plenty of gas and diesel cars that can also last pretty much forever if we apply the same logic of “having to replace parts doesn’t count”…
People’s needs for transportation will never cease to exist and there will always be some people that will need individual transportation so even in a world where only those who need a vehicle have one, I think it’s only fair that they should be as safe as possible in it.

Cars of the same size weight a lot more now than they used to back in the day and safety features is one of the main reasons.
From what I understand it’s transported in liquid form over long distances (across the ocean for example) but then it’s transported/stores in gaseous form.
