I need to remember to check this out on desktop. It is a little flaky on mobile. It seems really interesting.
I sort of took a year off of gardening, but some of my perennials are doing great. My Jasmine is growing a lot. It’s gotten to the window above the trellis. I might need to consider trimming it. I don’t know if it’s actually bad for the house or not lol.
I’ve seen a lot of wildlife. I saw a spider that caught a dragonfly right outside my window. That was amazing to see. Plus I saw a opossum last night (my favorite animal).

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Signal is in the perfect niche of privacy and usability and, sadly, suffers for it. Privacy enthusiasts don’t think it is private enough and “normies” (for lack of a better term off the top of my head) don’t use it because there aren’t enough people using it or it just isn’t fun enough. Meanwhile, it’s insanely trivially easy to install and register and it works like a normal message app.
Edit: ironic that I accidentally triple post a comment that starts with “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again”
It irks me to no end when people call Virginia Creeper invasive.
Wetlands wetlands wetlands wetlands wetlands!
If you really want carbon capture protect your wetlands. They’re truly the best.
Very not solar punk, but very cool. Love the vibe of super dense living.
The least we can do is commit to regrowing a tree for every tree cut and to strongly encourage the cutting of only farmed trees and heavily discourage the cutting of true, old-growth forests.
I personally don’t see a problem with the idea of doing something like that, but doing some sort of widespread rollout like they’re proposing, I’d rather see “useful” work be done. But yeah, at the end of the day, if we can better utilize waste heat then that’s good.
Someone shared this article with me after I mentioned the idea of crypto mining space heaters lol.
