We have a rather…abundant patch of raspberries in the back which are quite far from maturity. I’m hoping those are abundant enough to make jam.

I’ll plug another place I love even though it’s not specific to native plants. The Rideau Woodland Ramble in Merrickville is just a stunning place and clearly a garden that love built. We bought the book they put together for their 25th anniversary.

Are there any garden centres in Kingston or east of it you would recommend? I’m likely going to make a day trip this weekend to Amaranth and could stand to make additional stops, even if my wallet doesn’t want to.

I do agree that dogbane is a possibility, it’s hard to see the stem which I think would help.
