Yup. The zest was amating witg rice.
I bought the tree for 30€ from a ahop. If you arent interested in growing many plants yet, you could just buy some fruits online (during season) or the juice/peels. There are many shops that sell them online.
Usually a lurker.
Maybe I should’ve just shut up and thought for a bit longer before writing that comment…
If you want to talk to me elsewhere, you know how to reach me.

Sounds neat.
During my visit in Sri Lanka I plucked and dried some leaves. Sadly itbwas only 1g. Tasted good though.
Wish you best of luck and a good tea ;)
Are you actually planning to grow tea with your camellia or just as decoration?
As for me: Hoping my Yuzu survives the weather
Edit: And waiting for warmer weather so I can stop using the bus and ride my bike again (I refuse to wear a big winter jacket and sweat during my way back home because it’s too damn hot)
Something like oven potatoes with oven vegetables and a sour cream dip, barbeque meats and something adjacent to those kinds of dishes.
I have one outside now alive for two years.
Just full sun (south side) and watering it maybe every 2 to three days.
In the same watering container than my sage.
Didnt even notice the age. Was just browsing some plant communities and noticed a plant I knew looked alike :D
So it’s kinda as assumed in my comment and as OP has identified?
Yuzu that tastes good was grafted onto another yuzu that maybe was declared as tasting not as good?
Or is this not a thing and it’s something like a trifoliate graft?
Like I mentioned: The nursery does not mention grafting.
According to EU-law grafted plants need to be marked as grafts on their passport.
Btw the links are hidden in the post description. Only showed up when I went to comment.
You mean the additional pictures?
Dunno if I did something wrong when posting. I just submitted them as is with the ![]()
syntax.
but the bark structure looks like the same species
At least it would explain why the nursery didn’t mention grafting. Maybe the trunk looked healthy but had a bad crown/parasites?
Could always ask.
Already contacted the nursery per E-Mail but I wanted a second opinion.
My other little cactus (also from seed):
This one is about ⅔ of the size from the cactus in the main post.
Looks like Urtica.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urtica
Usually grows at the side of roads and in forests in my area.
Should this be it, it’s not toxic and can even be brewed as a tea if I am not mistaken.
This picture might as well be called “Germany” right now :D
