Its a scooter, anyone can just pick it up and walk off with it. If you want security you probably need a motorcycle chain and lock. Don’t get cheap ones, cheap locks are terrible.
Recently opened a cheap lock by using the key from another lock and just jiggled it as I turned until the lock opened. Another lock I was able to pick with a single flat head screwdriver.
I am not good or experienced with lockpicking. Literally the only locks I have ever picked and without even using proper tools. But then if you leave it for long enough someone could always drill the lock too. Best you can really do is make it draw too much attention for the value of what they could steal.
What motorcycle locks do they make small enough for scooters?
You might be able to find a disc lock that fits on a scooter brake disc.
That is literally a problem plaguing all personal mobility devices. Plus one of the benefits of scooters is that they are small enough to bring indoors.
Yeah bikes and scooters are easier to take inside. Which is a far better security option than locking it up.
OP did say that it was inside his garage. I mean, in all honesty, most buildings are not built to be Fort Knox. If someone is intent on burglarizing them, they’re probably going to get in.
Surely there are locks made for scooters?
