Well, I just charged them and apparently they work fine. I don’t know how long they’ll last after this kind of treatment, but just the fact that they didn’t die immediately deserves a commendation IMO.
Nice, shame they don’t do over ear ones currently as that is what I use. Being able to hear the world around me still when on a bike ride or run is pretty useful. In ear muffles it took much.

The open ear ones I have currently are fitted just around your ear, but instead of going inside your ear the speaker is outside your ear. Fitting is more secure and because it isn’t completely covering (hence the name open ear) your ear you can still hear things around you. So it works nicely for running and bike rides.
Mine have touch controls on them too, single touch on either of them will play/pause VLC so I usually pause for the sections I need to ride around busy traffic.
