I’m pretty sure this is a tomato that escaped confinement from last year! Guess the tomatoes don’t need me to help them, I should just scatter their seeds and let them do their own thing lol!

      yeah, off-hand it does look like a tomato to me too; is it growing in an old compost pile or place where seeds are discarded?

      I usually find cherry tomatoes are my most common volunteers, they are almost like weeds sometimes.

        No, this one is in the front yard and not particularly near where the heap was. So I was surprised he got up there! But not too surprised.

          Biggest issue, if it came from a hybrid (most store bought tomatoes), it’ll be a crapshoot on quality and type of fruit it puts out. Flavor can be off depending on genetics and how it propagated.
