Hello guys again!

I do understand how meshtastic works, that buildings, trees may cut the signals and the higher the better etc.
Yet, in my home, leaving my device l1 tracker pro at a specific place, gets lots of traffic, and I receive more messages than before. Since then I always leave it there. Now my question is, how come I can receive messages but not sent, especially when channel utility is 7 or even 10 percent? Do I miss something?

      The frequency and power these things transmit at is VERY low. Think trees andleaves can get in the way of signals getting from device to device.

      I agree with @roofuskit@lemmy.world its probably lone of sight. There are two ways i have tested in the past:

      1. Get another meshtastic device and walk around the neighboorhood.
      2. Test with an rtlsdr (usb dongle) that can pick up radio and “see” the signal strength. This one may be overkill for most.
