They didn’t though. We did a ton of public records activism to find out what happened. Basically, there was a small group within SPD that evacuated the precinct. After it didn’t melt down immediately, they started making a bunch of radio noise about Proud Boys to amp up the paranoia.
They were doing a bunch of counterinsurgency shit. The CHOP/CHAZ had problems, but they didn’t just wait for it to collapse. They were pushing pretty hard to undermine it in every way they could get away with.
