The research looked at peaks in biodiversity loss and their relationship with atmospheric CO2, finding 50 events over the last 534 million years that can be considered mass extinctions.
They won’t, at some point money won’t matter anymore. They think they’ve got it figured out with their bunkers in New Zealand and Hawaii and where not, but I don’t see them having the skill set needed to survive in that scenario. They just think they do, having gotten rich in IT and being surrounded by yes-men ever since.

I am imagining “hunters” swarming into the forest and exterminating everything edible within a couple of weeks like a plague of locusts. Even if they were hunters, it wouldn’t help them.
