I’ve got myself a pair of Solovair chelsea boots about a year ago and the soles are already pretty worn out. Water gets through the sole so I probably have to resole them if possible.
The wear has been surprisingly fast. Most of the boots I’ve had have been cheaper price point and lasted at least few years. Do I walk wrong or are the Solovair’s soles just bad? How long should the soles last?

Here’s a pair of Allen Edmonds with British-manufactured Itshide Commando soles, after three years of daily use by a farm truck driver. I would describe this as moderate use, and a perfectly acceptable lifespan. They did need the heels nailed back on quite early on, it would seem that was a typical complaint for AE boots at the time.
Your post reminded me I needed to oil them, so here’s the uppers before and after.
These were about $150 on sale. It seems that AE no longer makes Chapmans, and Itshide has gone out of business.
Your’s look quite evenly worn afaict. Bit less on heels. Most of the wear on my pair is only in two spots. Rest of the sole is almost as good as new.
