This one seems like the style you’re talking about and has better reviews than just about anything else I see on amazon. How much you trust those reviews is up in the air, but it does look like a fairly foolproof, classic style of icemaker as long as it’s not flimsy, and the reviews don’t seem to suggest that’s an issue 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I have a lot less issue with plastic products that are actually high quality enough to last and not part of a disposable product category

I imagine you configure the parameters that trigger it to water, and how much. Is there more you pay attention to than soil moisture and how much water you add when taking care of it? (Like how it looks, or whether it’s flowering/fruiting if it does those things)
